On June 13, 2026, US Army Vietnam War Veteran, Gerald “Gerry” Leonard, was presented with a Quilt of Valor at the Currie Legion Post #322. The quilt was given in honor, appreciation and thanks for his service; and to bring comfort, peace and healing. Legion member Denny Johnson, introduced the veteran and spoke about Gerry’s military service. Jill Defries and Kerry Cassens of Patriotic Piecers QOV group of Pipestone, presented his quilt.
