This summer the three parishes of Saints Ann, Columba and Mary in Slayton, Iona and Lake Wilson formed a group to bring exciting events to the communities. The hope is to have an event, planned by this group (if you belong to one of the three parishes you are invited to join in the planning), every other month starting in July.
All events will be open to the community. The first event, a pool party, will be held at Slaytona Beach in Slayton on July 27 with free swimming from 5:30 until 7:30. All ages are welcome. To encourage the ‘older’ generation to join in this event there will be hamburgers grilled by the Cattlemen’s Association with chips and ice cream to round out the menu. Oh, yes, the swimmers can eat too! You don’t have to bring a billfold, just your ability to join in and have a good time with others in your community. We hope to see you there.
