PERSONNEL MANUAL REVIEWED BY BOARD

The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 with all members present. A public hearing was held to approve the Off Sale Liquor License requested by Corey Munneke on behalf of Pump N Pak RV LLC being operated as The Store located at 11 Valhalla Rd. Approval was given for the license with no comments presented.

Justin Hoffmann, Parks Maintenance Manager, presented one quote for the rental of the South Commercial and the Creative Arts Buildings. Shetek Marine will continue his rental arrangement for winter storage with the quote of $1100 and $1500 pr year with a two year contract extending from October 1 to May 1 each year.

With the possible construction of a new Cattlemen’s Ass’n building on the site of the Sheriff’s storage building on the fairgrounds a new storage site was discussed. The decision was to allow sheriff’s Department storage in the old highway department building. Some equipment storage will also be available for the highway department in the same area.

The courts requested the purchase of a State Seal for the Court Room. The purchase to total $300 plus shipping was approved with the choice of design to be made by court personnel.

Assessor Chad Benda received Reappointment to his position for a term of four years starting on January 1. Benda has held his position since February 2023.

Much of the meeting time was used for discussion and review of the Personnel Manuel with all changes examined.
