GERALD “JERRY” E. RUPP

Gerald “Jerry” Earl Rupp, was born June 26, 1940, to Earl S. Rupp & Helen (Thuringer) Rupp in Slayton, MN. After Jerry’s father passed away in 1951 the family moved to Algona, IA, where he graduated from high school in 1958. Jerry attended college at the University of Iowa before moving to Phoenix, AZ where he graduated from Arizona State University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Jerry was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity.

On June 25, 1965, he married Barbara Davis in Phoenix. Soon after they began their life together, they moved across the globe and lived in several countries where he worked in international business. In 1984, the Rupp family returned to Phoenix where he began his second career in real estate and property management.

On July 7, 2022, Jerry passed away in Phoenix, AZ. He was 82 years old.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara, two children; David of Corvallis, OR and Mariss of Gilbert, AZ, two grandchildren; Chelsea of Phoenix, AZ and Daniel of Tucson, AZ, two younger sisters and one brother and his extended family, first cousins; Larry Rupp (Eagle, ID), Doug Rupp (Slayton, MN), Steve Rupp (Mankato, MN) and Cheryl Edwards (Annandale, MN). He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lorelie.

Graveside services will be held at the North Slayton Cemetery, Slayton, MN on August 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Hollis, officiating.
