The Murray County Economic Development Authority is asking for your help! You are invited to participate in updating the SW MN Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The Southwest Regional Development Commission (SRDC) is leading the planning effort in alignment with U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) guidelines. Every five years, the CEDS process brings together regional leaders and privatesector partners to set priorities and create a shared strategy that supports economic resilience and long-term prosperity across the region.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey using the link found on Murray County’s Economic Development webpage:www.murraycountymn. com . We are hoping to hear from a wide range of voices across all counties in the region – Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock. The survey will remain open through February 28, 2026.
The community’s expertise and perspective in this regional planning effort is valued. That input will help shape strategies that strengthen the long-term economic vitality of our region. In addition to completing the survey, you are invited to participate in one or more of these cornerstone focus groups: 1) March 2 – Human Capital Focus Group; 2) March 16 – Economic Competitiveness Focus Group; 3) April 13 – Community Resources Focus Group; and 4) April 27 – Foundational Assets Focus Group. For more information on CEDS or to register for the hybrid Focus groups follow the link to the same webpage listed above.
