MSP to approve carpet replacement bid from Jim’s Carpet Outlet, in the amount of $19,783.56 for replacement of carpet in the hallways and common areas at Sunrise Terrace.
Presentation and discussion of Lyon County jail rate increase and future housing of inmates.
MSP to authorize Board Chair and Sheriff to sign the Addendum to Contract for Jail Services Between Lyon County and Murray County.
MSP to approve the same contract used for Slayton’s law enforcement coverage to be used for Fulda’s law enforcement contract. A contract will be brought back to the board for approval.
MSP to approve the Cooperative Facility Use Agreement between Murray County and the Murray Soil and Water Conservation District, subject to approval by the Murray SWCD Board of Supervisors, and authorized the Board Chair to execute.
SWCD discussion with board on designated commissioner, as a non-voting member attend each of their meetings. No action was taken as it was deemed unnecessary with continuation of quarterly reports provided to the board.
MSP to approve purchase of excess dirt and clay material, up to 20,607 cy from Veit and Company in the amount of $26,789.10, for use at the county landfill.
Bryan Stading EDA Coordinator provided an update Introductions were made Chrissy Harris, new HR Manager.
PowerOn Midwest discussion on concerns of constituents regarding the proposed project. Although Murray County has no authority to stop such a project, they can provide a resolution and comment to the Public Utility Commission to make sure citizen concerns are addressed. A formal resolution will be presented for consideration at the board meeting. Again, the board stressed the importance of all citizens participating in hearings and comment periods as the project progresses through the process.
