MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD October 22, 2024 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present in person: Commissioners; Malone, Gunnink, Meier, Welgraven and Thiner. Also present in person were Carolyn McDonald and Emily Ackerman.

MSP to approve the agenda with additions.

MSP to approve consent agenda item #3.1 October 15, 2024 Regular Meeting Minutes.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditch No. 41 totaling $80.00.

MSP to approve expenditures to be paid from the Murray County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds as follows $15,491.00 Grant Match EV Charging Stations this grant application was approved by the Board on 02/21/2023, with the contingency that if the grant application is not approved by 12/31/2024, the funds are automatically allocated for childcare initiatives in the county, to be administered through the EDA.

MSP to allocate the $150,000.00 into capital improvement for future capital expenditures. Discussion was held regarding the motion. After approximately 15 minutes of discussion, the Board Chair called the vote.

MSP to approve expenditures to be paid from the Murray County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds as follows $28,854.30 for Child Care Initiatives through the EDA this project, this project allocates the balance of the ARPA funding for childcare initiatives in the county, to be administered through the EDA.

MSP to approve Murray Soil and Water Conservation District allocation request in the amount of $49,069.75.

MSP to authorize the installation of HVAC upgrades by Mike’s Plumbing and Heating to the Museum building, and the accept the estimate with a “Not to Exceed” cost of $10,000.00, to be paid from account code: 01-503-560-6640, and to send a letter to Slayton Plumbing and Heating advising that services are no longer needed as the work has not been completed in a year.
