Murray County Central School District Receives Donation Towards Gym Floor Project

As the campaign for the new MCC Gym Floor project comes to a close at the end of December 2023, another generous donation was presented to Superintendent Joe Meyer on behalf of the MCC School District from branch president Neal Everson and other MINNWEST BANK staff at the Slayton location. “It was approximately March of 2023 when we kicked off the campaign to our alumni and community with a goal of matching the $100,000 corporate sponsorship we received from Woodstock Communications and Ken & Marlys Knuth. With MINNWEST Bank’s $5,000 donation, we are currently at $112,420.” The total cost of the project was $324,327 with demolition of existing floor and subfloor, new concrete underlayment, new floor and install, staining, painting, sealing, along with several bleacher moves. “We are so grateful for the immense support of everyone who donated to this cause and it shows again how supportive our alumni and community are to our school system.”
