The sustained increase of prices for materials and new construction have continued to delay the start of the proposed Assisted Living Community in Slayton, MN.
“Materials, labor availability, and labor costs continue to be the primary driver of cost increases with select items seeing historic highs,” says Matt Pallansch, President of MN Signature Care.
“While MN Signature Care has always expressed commitment to bringing an Assisted Living project to completion in Slayton, the unfortunate news is that elevated project costs for a new Assisted Living building are creating an unsustainable model,” says Pallansch “The decision to table the project was not easy for us. We have always valued the opportunity for Seniors to remain in their local community with access to the care and services they may need. The reality of building in the current market will set the project up for financial failure,” says Pallansch.
“We again thank the members of the Slayton community and the associated parties who have helped bring the project this far. We remain in an unprecedented time for the construction industry and will continue to visit the project and review possible success as the industry changes,' says Pallansch.
