The Murray County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report that the missing 82-year-old, Dennis Moerke, has been located safely. The individual was found near 675th Avenue and 161st Street, near Lake Wilson, Minnesota, and is safe.
We are grateful for the coordinated efforts of the many agencies and community members who assisted in the search.
The Murray County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the following agencies for their assistance: City of Marshall Emergency Management, Murray County Ambulance, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Minnesota State Patrol, Lake Wilson First Responders, Lake Wilson Fire Department, Chandler First Responders, Chandler Fire Department, Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Murray County Emergency Management, Numerous community volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to the search.
The professionalism, teamwork, and commitment demonstrated by all involved were instrumental in bringing this search to a successful conclusion. The Murray County Sheriff’s Office is thankful for the overwhelming support from our partner agencies and the community.
