The Murray County Central Rebels honored the seniors September 21st during their home match against the Wolverines from Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey.
Coming off a scathing loss to the Coyotes, the Rebels were back on track, defeating conference contenders, 25-20, 25-11 and 25-12.
The team played their best volleyball to date lead by seniors Abby Loosbrock, Atalie Rosenbrook and Kate Slettum.
MCC received serve and got off a little shaky, but recovered nicely behind the service of Loosbrock, collecting three ace serves in the first set.
A balanced attack from the hitters contributed to the win as well. Kate Blankenship added to the trio’s kill tally to pace MCC to a victory.
In set number two, the home team picked right up where they left off. MLA-C wasn’t able to keep up with the Rebels and fell in game two, 11-25.
MCC wrapped up the night, 25-12 for a clean sweep of the Wolverines. Leaders on the night were: Abby Loosbrock: 9 aces, 6 kills and 2 ace blocks; Kate Slettum: 5 kills, 7 digs and 22 set assists; Atalie Rosenbrook: 13 kills; Emmi Peltola: 2 service aces and 11 digs.
The Rebels travel to Hills, MN to take on the Patriots before hosting the SWMN Christian Eagles next week.
