It was a beautiful day on the course for MCC golf as they competed in a triangular at Slayton Country Club. The Rebels had the home field advantage, but struggled at times with their mental game. MCC’s boys didn’t rise to the top of the leaderboard, but they had a great round as a team scoring a 188. The girls finished in first place with a 191, and had strong finishes by all players.
MCC’s golfers had a lot of ups and downs throughout the meet, but especially once they were on the greens. Putting has been a consistent struggle for the Rebels throughout the season. For the girls, Ava Johnson came in low for the girls with a 43. Johnson parred four holes and finished in 1st place individually. Rachael Huso finished in 3rd with a 46, and Lizzie Daniels in 4th with a 47. On the boys side, Lucas Kuball was the low scorer with a 40. Kuball carded four pars on the round and finished in 2nd place. Kaden Landsman finished tied in 4th place with a score of 45.
