It was the perfect day at Worthington Country Club for the final Red Rock Conference meet on Tuesday. Some of MCC’s golfers were well prepared for the challenging 18hole course, while others were making their first appearance. Overall, the Rebels played very well and walked away with some hardware.
The boys team did well, led by Trey Veldhuisen with a 97. He was followed by Hudson Schryvers (104), Jett Veldhuisen (105), Lucas Kuball (108), Dawson Schreier (108), and Bryce Hoekman (111). On the girl’s side Elie Meyer led with
a 48 front and 49 back totaling
97 for the day. Meyer finished in first place for the day. She was followed by Ava Johnson
(101), Symone Harms (107), Rachael Huso (119), Lizzie Daniels (141), and Lauren Larson (157).
The girls team finished solid with a four-day total of 1745, clenching the Red Rock Conference Champions title. For the boys, they ended in fifth place overall with a four-day total of 1654. Individual All-Conference honors went out to Elie Meyer (3rd place), Ava Johnson (4th place), Rachael Huso (6th place), and Symone Harms (8th place). MCC’s golfers did extremely well on such a difficult course, and are ready to take on sections next week!
