On Thursday, April 21, fifteen 5th and 6th grade students from MCC Elementary School participated in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. There were three teams competing in the competition.

The 5th Grade Team placed 6th out of 17 teams. Team members included Alex Heard, Xavier Mannon, Lilly Gertsma, Brielle Plotz, and Noah Hanson.

The 6th Grade Team #1 placed 5th out of 17 teams. Team members included Joelle Hellewell, Aubrey Biegler, Carter Ray, Emma Ahlquist, and Brecken Larson.

The 6th Grade Team #2 placed 1st out of 17 teams. Team members included Annie Scandrett, Gary Plotz, Noah Frisk, Suttyn Schryvers, and Tyler Reith.
