Dear Editor: We want to make sure all concerned, conservative voters in Congressional District 7 are aware of the importance of voting in the primary election on Tuesday, August 13. Better yet, vote anytime before August 13 at THE COURTHOUSE in Slayton. Bring your mail-in ballot to THE COURTHOUSE to ensure that it’s counted.
Royce White, 33, is the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate winning 67 percent of the state convention delegates’ votes on the first ballot! Joe Fraser threw his hat in the primary ring after the Republican State Convention.
Steve Boyd, 39, is running against second term Michelle Fischbach for U.S. House of Representatives. The votes remained close on three ballots at the District Republican Convention. Neither candidate was able to secure 60 per cent of the vote for an endorsement. We support Steve Boyd, a hard-working Christian man of high principles, and a strong supporter for life and our American constitution. You may have seen him walking in one of 37 parades, to date; at one of countless town hall meetings he’s attended; or one of the 10 county fairs so far; or maybe he came to your door, as he has to nearly 10,000 other homes with the number growing every day.
One candidate for U.S. Senate and one for U.S. House of Representatives will win the primary election in August to be on the ballot for the November election. We believe we need fresh blood and people of strong conviction who will not be bought off in congress! Let your voice be heard by voting and encourage your like-minded friends to vote in the primary Tuesday, August 13. Dean and Jan VanOort Fulda
