Hats off to the Murray County Fair Board and Superintendents for another fantastic County Fair 2025. The numbers of people there and the vehicles parked on the grounds and within two blocks around the outside showed that there was something for all ages.
A visitor from a neighboring county complemented Superintendent Mona Henkels saying that the Open Class Horticulture display far outweighed the display he had seen at a Fair in a much larger town. He said that Mona and Gail Hopper needed to be very proud but Mona responded saying that “it takes a community”.
It is true that it takes the community but it also takes someone to create a beautiful display from the exhibits received from the community. So thanks to Mona and Gail in the horticulture area and Tom and Mary on the agriculture side and Superintendents in other divisions who were involved with the Open Class community exhibits. Their time and efforts are much appreciated in our community.
Lila Anderson, Slayton I have been a member of the national, state and local Cattlemen’s Association since 1972 and am still a member because I am proud of the orginazation. I was really happy to see the cattlemen’s food stand at the fair.
We were there Thursday evening fo rthe steak dinner. I am really impressed by the smoothness of the operation and how they handled the customers. Keep up the good work!
