By Arnold Krusemark Ready or not this is the week-end of Christmas this year. Whatever plans you have will have to do although over the years we’ve had last minute items we can sure remember (good and bad). With rarest exception one important thing was the Christmas dinner and guests. Then any presents to share and conversation too. By then it was time for an second food service usually with a second piece of pie or whatever. Then it was time to head for home. As hinted above sometimes there was last minute events to change our plans and sometimes it was how we got together and who we were with.
In one of her books, author Laura Ingalls Wilder tells of one Christmas eve when a snowstorm hit along with some last minute guests. And Mother gave away one of her prized possessions to one guest. In the present we hope our plans all come together in time - or rather just in time.
Do remember the meaning of Christmas along with the birth of Jesus. We hope you have a good Christmas Day and celebration too. Be sure to water your house plants too.
And then make plans for new Years next week.
