GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark Thanksgiving is over. And November will be over shortly. What remains is the last month of the year. The outside work is done except for when the snow arrives needing relocation. Inside we have our chores and events to accomplish.

In past years Thanksgiving dinners meant family dinner reunions. Then the hosting family would have a few more meals from the leftovers. In recent years, we’ve spent most the Thanksgiving dinner eating out. And then to get plans for Christmas and New Years. Christmas presents, cards and sometimes an annual letter went out.

Now we use a computer to help with the end of year financial plans. Knowing about how much income we’ve had for the year, we make out charity checks as well as getting things done so they are done this year for tax purposes.

And then work out the annual financial plan for the upcoming year. Now is also a good time to check our house plants. Turn them so another side faces the outside, Also a bit of fertilizer added to the weekly watering will encourage your plant for the next year. This will keep you busy for the foreseeable future.

Until next week.
