Another month has passed. March is here. The days will include the arrival of spring.
Inside the house our amaryllis has sent up stalks with beautiful flowers. Thanks for their efforts to gracing our house.
Outside it is still winter of course. The warm days have melted most of the snow.
Presidents’ Day has also passed. In some years past, schools were closed for this day as a February holiday - if we hadn’t had any snow days thus far.
That vacation day was a mistake. More than one year that was followed by a blizzard a week. There went Easter vacation. We may have had to have school into June to make up for the lost snow days. We shall see what happens this year.
As for our gardening - armchair gardening this time of year - if you haven’t planned your garden for this year, now is a good time to do it along with placing seed and plant orders. More about that in future columns.
Back inside the house be sure to water and care for your house plants. Until next week.
