It is now into June. Hard to believe this much of year 2026 is already over.
With nearly half of the rest of the year remaining we had a mail delivery recently we mention.
In year past we mentioned charities start delivering their next year’s calendars (along with a financial request). This past week our first 2027 calendar arrived.
Back to our gardening.
Other emails remind us that Father’s Day needs gifts for Fathers.
One email claimed they have the right gifts for gardeners. Maybe Father needs a new hoe, rake, and spade. Maybe a sack of fertilizer too. For some fathers will get to taste some fresh garden produce too. Maybe at an outdoor picnic or using the outdoor grill.
The rest of us should have all our garden and yard plants in and growing.
And the lawn needs mowing.
The kids are home from school. They can help with the chores.
Time to also check out area Farmers’ Markets. Some sellers will have their garden surplus but we also have commercial gardeners too.
Hopefully it will rain enough but not too much.
