By Arnold Krusemark The year 2026 is now going strong. Barely a week has passed, and we wonder what we’ve gotten done. And now its time to plan what we need to get doing.
As for gardening, its time to make some plans as to what we will try to grow this year.
The first thing might be to get the gardening catalogues coming. If you aren’t already on their mailing lists you might check the gardening magazines to check the ads. Its amazing how many companies have seeds (and plants) for sale.
There are the general purpose suppliers along with special catalogues too.
In our case we watch for Burpees and Gurneys catalogues. The ads also include special ones too. What caught our eye was a catalogue of only tomatoe seeds.
And then there’s suppliers of trees and yard bushes too. The Arbor Day Foundation would like to send us 10 trees with an annual donation.
In past years we’ve talked about selecting, planting, and caring for whatever you need there.
These are some things you might do while watching winter outside until Spring.
In the meantime be sure to care for your house plants too. In addition to just watering, turn them so another side sees daylight. And maybe a little fertilizer too.
