By Arnold Krusemark This weekend is the end of August and Monday is September 1st and Labor Day. This weekend is also the traditional end of summer for many people and their activities.
For one thing it is when the kids go back to school. That’s also the end of summer vacation, the end of the sweet corn (and vegetable) stands, the a parade and midway in Tracy.
We hope you got your second garden planted too. Then you will have fresh produce to keep your meals luscious until Thanksgiving. And it’s time to get the yard work done too including new plantings to get them started for next year.
The days are also getting noticeably shorter too. The yard and garden work done after 5 pm is getting reduced. Soon the only outside work will be done only on Saturdays.
We still have some outside work to get done and also inside work. Be sure to water and care for your house plants too. Somehow that will keep us busy.
