By Arnold Krusemark More signs of upcoming winter appeared this week. One was a weather prediction for freezing temperatures so be sure to cover up your tomatoe plants.
Another appeared in the local newspaper - a sale on winter underwear. Otherwise, Farmers’ Markets has closed for the winter. Too cold for the vendors we heard. Otherwise, its time to try to finish your outside work.
Inside remember your house plants which were outside for the summer. Also water. And care for the plants which were with you all the time. This was also MEA Convention for the teachers.
We remember one year we attended the convention in the Minneapolis Auditorium. Just before MEA meetings, we found leftover from a previous meeting of some sort. Outside we saw the pieces of a large pumpkin along with the inside seeds.
We took the seeds home And planted them the next year. We called the pumpkins from them Auditorium pumpkins In the meantime, keep busy.
