Our outside weather is nice to be sure, but winter is not over. As for our 2024 gardens, its maybe a time to check out the gardening tools. Farmers frequently use this time of year to repair their planting equipment. Gardeners can do the same.
In the case of gardening, this writer remembers taking in the hoes to have them sharpened. This may not have been done each year but it sure helped when the hoes got put to use. And then there are other garden tools too. If needed keep checking the store ads for gardening tools. Then buy when things are on sale.
As mentioned in past columns, the real winter may still be coming - with several blizzards. We can use the moisture now and in the Spring. Our scoop shovel is still in the car back seat, along with the snow brush in front seat. Ready for use. And some winter work duds in the trunk as needed. Back inside the house be sure to water your house plants too. Until next week.
