Another week has passed and with the most exceptionally mild weather. From years past this writer remembers getting out the hoe about now and trying the ground to see how hard it was. Sometimes the ground was still hard or maybe could be hoed down maybe half an inch.
We do have one holiday coming up in February - next week Valentine’s Day. Back in grade school we had a Valentine’s day party of sorts. Of course, we had Valentines for our school mates too. The party usually had games and something to eat too. Then it was back to work. Yes, we remembered Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthday too.
Nowadays they have special sales usually of unwanted merchandise then too. As for our gardening, we are still looking at the catalogues and stores which have seeds. We expect to be restocked of our usual seeds immediately. And then there’s the orders for the new varieties.
And back inside the house, we remember to water our house plants too. Until next week.
