This week-end will include Labor Day. In years past this writer has tried to attend the festivities at Tracy including the parade on Labor Day.
Labor Day is also the unofficial end of Summer. This is when the kids go back to school. Many summer jobs end and things start shutting down.
With the school kids back in school that is the end of the sweet corn stands.
As for our gardening this has also been the time to reduce our gardening and yard time to shorter days and week-end work.
Thankfully we now have had rain too. This will help finish the field crops and our garden produce.
And if you plant a second garden, now is a good time to have it planted.
And don’t forget to water your house plants.
