By John Stenen Prior to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He spent three days in the heart of the earth. His soul and spirit went into the area known as Paradise where all the old testament saints went when they died. Picture all those old testaments saints testifying, “He is the One I spoke of, He is Immanuel (God with us). Isaiah said, “He is the One born of a virgin, He is the Man of sorrows.” David said, “I wrote about Him in Psalm 22: and 23:” On and on they probably went; Moses, Abraham, Samuel, etc. He took the keys of death and hell and forever defeated Satan and his host of demons.
The birth of Jesus was miraculous, His life was miraculous, and when He went to the cross, it was not for His sin but for all of our sins. Not one man or woman in all of history was guiltless, for Scripture tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Scripture says, “The soul that sinneth shall die.” Everyone of us deserves hell before a Just and Holy God, no matter how good you think you are. It was because of His great love for us that He gave His Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die, that we may receive Him as Savior and Lord, and have everlasting life. Yet, today He is rejected and cursed more than I have ever seen in my life. God sets before us life or death, blessings or curses. If you have Jesus, you have life, if not, you go to a Christless eternity in hell. Please, realize that your eternal destiny is at stake; choose Jesus. God bless.
