The apostle John wrote to the Church and said, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2). God reveals three things to us in this verse. One: He wants all of His children to succeed in life. Two: He desires that we be healthy. Three: He wants His children to constantly study His Word so that we learn to live by His Word. In Romans 12:2 it is referred to as ‘the renewing of our minds. If we do this, we will not think and act as the worldly person does, but we will rather think and act like Christ - as we strive to live by faith, as Jesus did.
Obviously, our lives will have tribulation and many challenges; but God’s love, peace, and joy is available to each of us everyday. If we stand on the promises of God, and obey His Word, God can use all of our difficulties to cause us to become more Christ-like. I believe that is one of His greatest desires for us. (Read Eph. 4: 11-16).
Also, read (Rom. 5:1-4; James 1:2-4). It is sad to see throughout the Church world that many Christians, including many ministers, have become greedy and full of covetousness. Sadly, there are many who seek signs and wonders more so than they seek to walk with Christ.
