Many believe that God chose our eternal destination by determining who would go to heaven and who would go to hell. If this is how our eternal destiny is determined, then we may as well shut down all evangelism and close all Churches that do their best to reach those who are ‘lost.’ Well, thank God, that is not the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ was for the entire world. We cannot even imagine how He suffered that we may receive the gift of salvation. Have you read John 3:16 lately? – Salvation is for ‘Whosoever’ believes. The apostle Peter tells us in 2 Peter 3:9 that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. It was with much sadness that Jesus said, “But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” (John 5:40). Eternal life can only come to you and I through Jesus Christ. (John 14:6). We have not committed any sin that the blood of Christ cannot cleanse. Jesus stands ready to forgive and to receive all who place their trust in Him. If you die without having Jesus as your Lord, it will be because you chose to reject Him. If you choose to receive Him, He says to you, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.” Scripture also says in John 1:12, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God.” God Bless.
