GOOD NEWS

The little boy was holding the reigns and patting his father’s horse in front of the house; dad would soon be leaving on a trip. As he waited, a stranger passing by said, “Can your horse go fast, my boy?” “No, not very.” He replied. “But, he can stand fast.” To ‘stand fast’ is a virtue not to be despised in either a horse or a man. In Ephesians 6:, the apostle Paul encourages believers to be clothed with the armor of God so that we can stand against the wiles (methods) of the devil. Paul tells us, that having done all to stand, we are to continue standing. Christians are in a spiritual war and we are to fight the good fight of faith, and not quit! Paul also tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

Have things been tough? Do you feel discouraged? Have your hopes, your dreams, not succeeded and you want to give up serving Jesus? Remember, God never holds us responsible for success but for faithfulness. Are you steadfast and faithfully serving Christ? I am greatly encouraged to see and hear of many who are getting their eyes opened up to all the ungodliness and pure insanity going on in our nation. Jesus is the only answer to the many problems we face - and how nice to see so many returning to Church and getting serious with Christianity. God bless.
