By John Stenen The Bible tells us that both Enoch and Noah walked with God. When Enoch was 65 years old he had a son named Methuselah, and for the next 300 years he walked in close fellowship with God. Gen. 5:21. He was a righteous man yet there is no indication that he had any influence on others, and one day God just took him home to be with Him. He and Noah lived at a time when there was tremendous ungodliness on the earth.
Noah was a preacher of righteousness and for approximately 120 years he preached before the Great Flood came and he had no converts. The prophet Jeremiah preached for 40 years and had no converts, only great persecution; but he also is safe today and living in the presence of Jesus Christ.
Both England and the United States are fast becoming more and more ungodly. Churches are having to close because attendance has dropped considerably. Polls tell us today that for many in America, patriotism and the Church mean almost nothing to them. What a shame. Many believe that as long as they pay lip service to the Lord and live immoral lives everything is just fine.
Well, they better read the Bible because Scripture tells us that there is a way that seemeth right unto man but the end thereof is death. Our Lord said that He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. Have you repented of your sin and received Jesus into your heart? If not, please do so today. God bless.
