Most of you know that De Tocqueville of France, over a hundred years ago visited the United States and searched all through the nation to find out what made America so great. It was not found in all our natural resources; it was not found in the political realm; he said it was found when he visited the Churches and heard the ministers preaching righteousness. Only then did he understand the greatness of her power. He said, “America is great because America is good; and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”
I believe that America is great for two reasons; the grace of God and a strong military. If we lose God’s grace, it doesn’t matter how powerful our military is, we will be greatly defeated. We will lose the wonderful blessings heaven has bestowed on us these many years. Look around you, the evil is great, we tolerate unspeakable wickedness and it is getting worse. Psalm 9:17 says, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
However, Psalm 34:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness bless.
