By John Stenen No one other than the Lord Jesus Christ can take a sinner and make him or her a saint. The transformation can only be accomplished by faith. Heb. 11:6 tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” One day a man bought an ax from a blacksmith. He said to the smith, “I would like the entire blade to be bright like the edge.” “I will be glad to do the work if you will turn the wheel” said the smith. It took a long time and the owner of the ax said, “Let’s stop and see what it looks like.” The smith replied, “It’s not done yet, it is only speckled.” “Well that’s just fine, I think I like it better speckled.”
I believe this is true of many Christians. It takes lots of dedication and consecration; it requires living a sanctified life set apart unto God and walking by faith and living each day by faith to be come the person God desires that we become - Christlike! Have we allowed the world around us and the flesh and the devil to have a greater inworth it. God bless.
