By John Stenen “Another moment goes by, a minute, a week, a year; summer is past, the winter is soon upon us and still, I am not saved.” Does that apply to you? What we have experienced this past year is the amazing grace and mercy of God in giving those not yet saved, more time to do so.
Time runs out so quickly. Do you realize that your very next breath is dependent upon the goodness of God? He has given you life and all you need to sustain that life these many years. He has been gently calling to you to repent and come to Him that you may spend eternity with Him, and yet, so many refuse Him. One day it will happen, your last breath will have been taken. You will go, according to the Word of God to one of two places; heaven or hell.
If you go to hell, Scripture tells us that you will remain there in this place of torment until after Christ comes at the 2nd advent and reigns on this earth for a thousand years. You will then be brought before Jesus Christ at the Great White Throne Judgment. (Rev. 20:11-15).
You will be scared, you will be pleading and begging for another chance, but it will be too late. Jesus will remind you that all through your life on earth He invited you to come to Him for He wanted to be your Savior; -now He is your Judge. You will then be cast into the eternal lake of fire that was created for the devil and his angels. God does not send people to hell their sin does. He has provided the remedy we need, His name is Jesus. The little girl looked up at her grandfather and said, “Please grandpa, won’t you come to heaven with me?” Sadly, Jesus said in John 5:40, “You will not come to Me that you might have life.” Please, don’t let that be you.
