A tourist lost his footing and fell into the Dead Sea from a high area along the shore. He could not swim and desperately fought to keep from drowning. In a short time he was exhausted and believed he was going to drown. As he could struggle no more, he found that he could not sink. He had not known that the salt content was so heavy that it prevented him from going under.
This story is so much like what happens in the lives of many believers. They struggle with problems until they’re spent. They worry and fret; fear of tomorrow plagues them daily. They have forgotten the ability and power and love of God that He has available for them. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think. Our Heavenly Father tells us in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you;’ Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Learn to cast your care upon the Lord, for He cares for you. God bless.
