For twelve years a man devoted his life as a hold-up man and a kidnapper. He was caught and sent to prison. It was there that he came to know Jesus Christ and became a changed man. He served out his years and as he was leaving the prison he was handed a letter from another prisoner. The letter said, “When I came to prison, I despised preachers, the Bible, and all Christians because of the ‘holier than thou’ attitude so many have and all the hypocrisy I’ve seen over the years. For a lack of anything else to do I attended Bible class and the preaching services. I was told that you had become a Christian and I believed it was all just pretend so you could get a parole. However, I’ve carefully watched you for the last two and a half years; In the yard as you exercised, in the shop as you worked, at meal times, and when we were coming from or going to our cells. I want you to know that I am a Christian now because of my observation of your life; Christ truly lives in you. God bless you brother for being such a godly example.”
Are you a true Christian? Or are you a Christian in name only? Is the life of Christ being lived through you? If so, it will affect your thoughts, your words, and your deeds. Is your life bringing glory to God? We may not know who, but some are watching you, I know God is. God bless.
