GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen It is said that Ghandi’s last words were: “For the first time in fifty years I’m in the slough of despond, all about me is darkness and I am praying for light.” Buddha said, “I have not yet attained my goal.” Voltaire, one of the most famous atheists ever, said, “I have been abandoned by God and man, I am going to hell. ‘O Christ, O Jesus Christ.” Compare these three unbelievers with what the apostle Paul said shortly before he was executed by Roman soldiers. He said, “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. 2 Tim. 4:6-8. “ How will it be for you when the end of your life comes? I hope you are ready to meet Christ. God bless.
