GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Christians can sometimes get so angry over the least little things. Years ago, I read of a large wealthy Church that had a huge mural painted in their sanctuary. It was a beautiful picture of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. However, the artist drew a bellybutton on Adam and soon the Church was in an uproar. Half of the congregation believed Adam would not have had a bellybutton, and the other half said he would have one. Sad to say, the Church split and never became what it could have been. The enemy of our soul (the devil) loves to get Christians fighting and fussing, and full of anger, hate, bitterness and unforgiveness. Jesus however, told us that the true mark of a Christian is that we love one another as He loves us, (John 13:34-35). In Mark 11:25, Jesus said, “And when you stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any, that your Father also who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” When we fail to walk in love - we hinder our walk with God and our prayers are powerless. How’s your love walk? God bless.
