GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen A friend of mine from Forest Lake, Mn. went to Loredo, Texas in the 1970’s. He believed God had called him there to start a Full Gospel Church, which he did. In time, he began losing his vitality; he was tired and sick much of the time. He finally went to the doctor; they ran test after test. They opened him up and discovered he was full of cancer and advised him to go home and get his affairs in order, because he had just a short time to live. The good news is that he believed Jesus is still the healer, (Heb. 13:8). He said, “Devil, you are a liar, a thief, and a murderer, (John 10:10). I am a child of God, washed in the blood of the lamb; I’m in covenant with my Lord and with His stripes I am healed!.” He kept repeating that and many other Scriptures concerning healing such as Psalm 103:1-12. He said, “Devil, I am going to continue preaching the good news of Jesus, I will continue to pass out tracts, and tell everyone I can, that Jesus loves them,” etc. One day he came home from ministry, barely able to lift his garage door; and when he did, the power of God shot through his body and he was completely healed. The doctors could find no trace of cancer anywhere in his body. What if we all had such faith? God bless.
