By John Stenen The greatest joy that you and I can have in this life is not having great wealth and possessions! No, these things are all going to break down or burn up one day, and will never give you lasting joy. Those things will make you happy for a while, but soon, you will need or want something else. Wealth and nice things are ok, but to have the truest joy a person could possibly want, is to have all of their sins forgiven, by the shed blood of Jesus Christ; - to have your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
How wonderful it is to be in right standing with God; to know Him as your heavenly Father, and to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. What joy to have the Holy Spirit to empower you, to help you cope with life, and to enable you to be the person God desires you to be. Are you bound in drugs, alcohol, perversion, gambling, fornication, or adultery, or some other vice that keeps you in bondage? Knowing God can set you free. Jesus said in John 8: “If you are truly My disciple, you will continue in my Word, you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Regardless of how you may be bound, the chains can be broken by the power of God.
You can experience God’s power to free you, and you can experience true joy and peace that passes all understanding. God bless.
