Psalm 103: is such a wonderful up-lifting portion of Scripture. It reveals how merciful, compassionate, and loving, God is towards us. He is willing to forgive all our sin, and heal all our diseases. So why do we have so many lost sinners and sick people? Especially in the Church? Even the book of Luke, (4:18-20) where Jesus, being back in His own hometown of Nazareth, opened the scroll to Isaiah and read some to the people.
This passage revealed who He is, and what He came to do. All the things He listed, I believe, covers most, if not all areas of our lives, including forgiveness of our sins, and healing. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to Him. must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Do we diligently seek Him as we should, or is all our faith in medicine and the government? Psalm 66:18 says, “If I regard sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear my prayer.” Is our heart clean and pure before God? Are we truly walking in righteousness, and holiness, before God and man?
