By John Stenen She was just seventeen years old and had been raised in the Church; the sad thing was that she had never surrendered her life to Christ, she allowed the flesh to control her life rather than the Holy Spirit. She felt she was alright with God, after all she wasn’t too bad, and she did attend Church often. However, her Church had a visiting Evangelist minister for a full week and he was really getting through to her with his powerful preaching.
Her family attended services each night and Holy Spirit conviction was all over her. “Today is the day of salvation” he declared! Don’t put it off one more day, give your life to Christ tonight, tomorrow may be too late.”
She struggled with the decision; “I know I should give my life to Christ now, but there is another party tomorrow night and a certain guy was hoping she would be there. She knew the alcohol, drugs and promiscuity were all wrong, but she wanted to go - so, she passed again on giving her life to Christ. “I will do it soon,” she said to herself, “I will get saved soon.” On her way home from the party the next night she was killed in an automobile accident and entered a Christless eternity. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways to death.” Proverbs 14:12. If you’ve been putting it off, I would really think about it. God bless.
