GOOD NEWS

Many years ago a young African Christian was in great distress, moaning and sick with a raging high fever. The missionary used what simple remedies he had, but to no avail. What he really needed was an ice pack. They were deep in the jungle and no ice was available so he dismissed that idea. The mother of the sick boy said, “Cannot the Great God that you preach about send ice for my son?” She then reminded him of various sermons he had preached of God’s miraculous power. “But ice? Here in the jungle? It’s not possible. It would melt by the time it was brought here” he said. Mother reached out and pulled him down to his knees and she began praying with simple child-like faith. She simply asked God to send ice so that her son may live. Shortly after her prayer as they were trying to comfort her son, a hailstone the size of a walnut rolled through the door way. They looked out and God had sent enough hail to fill her yard. The mother rejoiced and went on and on praising and thanking God for His wonderful gift. Her son recovered completely and the missionary learned never to limit the power of God, for He is still the miracle worker. Mark 9:23 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” God bless.
