By John Stenen Biblical prophecy is one of the most neglected subjects in the Bible. It appears that most pastors shy away from prophecy because they believe it is too hard to understand. Others believe it will scare people and they may quit coming to church. Many seminaries do not teach prophecy. God gave us the very first prophecy in Genesis 3:15. He told Adam and Eve that one day the Messiah would come into this earth, be born of a woman, and that He would crush the head of Satan. Isaiah prophesied that this Messiah would be born of a virgin and He would be God in the flesh. (Isaiah 9:6). The prophet Micah gave a prophecy that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Daniel 9:25,26 tells us when the Anointed One (Jesus) would come and be put to death.
Space forbids me to give more wonderful prophecies, but know this, roughly one third or more of the Bible is prophecy. They have been accurate and most fulfilled already. The Bible is absolutely true. Prophecy tells us that Jesus is coming back and most bornagain Christians believe He will come soon to ‘catch us away’ to be with Him in heaven.
If you reject Jesus and refuse to repent and receive Him to be your Lord and Saviour, you will go into the seven year tribulation under the leadership of the Antichrist. God’s judgment will be poured out on this earth and I guarantee you that you will not want to be here. Read Revelations 6: thru 18: to see what horrors will come upon earth. Please, before it is too late, come to Jesus today, no matter how bad you have been, He will receive you. God bless.
