By John Stenen At a garage sale, my wife came across a little plaque to be hung on your wall, apparently given by a woman to her sister. It said: “God made us sisters, but Prozac made us friends.” It is sad how many people have to rely on drugs to get them through the day because they are so uptight. They are frustrated, angry, upset, or worried and afraid. The prophet Isaiah said in chapter 32:17, “The work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness is quietness and assurance.” Imagine that? Most every day, regardless of the situation, you can have peace and tranquility with harmony in your life and in your home. Not only that, but you can be assured of your place in God’s Kingdom. Satan of course wants to turn your life and home into a wreck, -if you don’t believe that, just look around and watch the news. Jesus told us in John 10:10 that Satan’s whole program is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Satan is very good at destroying lives. The apostle Paul said to the Christians, “Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Surrender your life to Christ, find His wonderful promises He made to us; by faith claim them, stand on the promises and your life will improve greatly. Remember, “God did not give us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Tim. 1:7. God bless.
