By John Stenen In the decade of the 70’s, two young hippies had been living the life of drugs, flower power, immorality etc. However, one Sunday morning a friend had practically dragged them to a church service that had a good gospel believing minister. The hippy girl came under great conviction of her sin, and saw her need for a Saviour. She realized for the first time that she was on the broad path that leads to eternal damnation. (Mt. 7:13-14). When the altar call was given for any who would like to come to Jesus and repent of their sin, she was the first to respond. As she was getting out of her seat, her boyfriend said, Where do you think you’re going? Sit down!.” She looked at him and said, “If you won’t go to heaven with me, I am not going to hell with you.”
I’m sure you have noticed how insane our world is becoming. Good is thought to be evil and evil is thought to be good, -just as the prophet Isaiah said in Isa. 5:20. Multitudes are living in great deception. The world is full of ‘scoffers’ today that deny the fact that Jesus Christ is one day coming for those who belong to Him, -and it may be soon as we look at world conditions. All the evil that is going on in the world today was prophesied in the Bible. The world is not just falling apart - it is falling into place, just as the Word of God said it would. The biggest sign that we are in the ‘last days of the Church Age’ is the fact that the Jewish people have been brought back to their land and are fulfilling God’s plan.
