It was a beautiful day for MCC’s varsity to face off in a triangular against HLOF/WWG and SWMCH-EHS this past Thursday. The Rebels were able to work on their game in preparation for their upcoming conference meet on Tuesday. MCC’s golfers represented well and enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere.
MCC’s girls team played well, defeating HLOF/WWG 207 to 234. Elie Meyer carded a 47, landing her the 1st place individual medal. Meyer golfed consistently throughout the round, carding one par. Marenna Bang of HLFO/WWG shot a 49 for 2nd place. Rachel Huso and Symone Harms followed right after in 3rd and 4th place. On the boys side, Trey Veldhuisen led the Rebels with a 47. MCC’s boys came up short against HLOF/WWG and SWMCH-EHS. Sawyer Drent of HLOF/WWG shot a 39 for 1st place and Nathan Kueny of HLOF/WGG a 40 for 2nd place.
The Rebels have two regular season meets left. MCC will play in the final Red Rock Conference Tournament in Worthington and then face off in a duel against Worthington. The next step for the Rebels will be section play the next two weeks again in Worthington.
