By Kathy Schwartz, Murray County Master Gardener Once or twice a month, turn your compost pile to speed decomposition and minimize any objectionable odors. Water the pile to keep it moist, but not soggy.
Begin (or maintain) your garden journal and record all routine and unusual events such as weather, new plants, unexpected happenings, plans for future development and any other garden related events.
