GET THE DIRT

By Kathy Schwartz, Murray County Master Gardener The best method to water your plant is trickle irrigation where the water goes directly to the soil without getting the rest of the plant wet. We do not want pathogens from the ground to move to the plants. Mulch will help prevent this problem.

Vegetable plants are usually capable of fending off disease, but if the plants are weak, the disease will take over.

Weed control is now through the end of September.
