Shopping for tomatoes:
Determinate means they stop growing at a certain height. Fruits ripen all at once. They work well in containers.
Indeterminate means they will continue to grow as long as the weather is agreeable. They produce higher yields. It is best to stake and cage them.
Ripen in 70 days means the fruit will ripen in ABOUT 70 days from the date you plant.
Keep all labels of plants you purchase, both annual and vegetable plants. Also keep labels from shrubs and trees.
